Sand Blasting Aluminium Oxide/Brown Fused Alumina

1. Introduction
Brown Fused Alumina (BFA) is made from Calcined Bauxite.
It is a hard and tough material, used in manufacturing of grinding wheels (both vitrified and resin bonded) and coated products.
These grains are also used for shot blasting and as polishing media.
Refractory grade BFA is used as a raw material in the manufacture of high alumina refractory.
It is available in grit sizes as per FEPA for abrasive applications and group grits for refractory applications.
Brown fused alumina's principal components is Aluminum oxide, it made from high quality bauxite by fusing in a tilt-pour or fixed electric arc furnace, processed with cone crusher and barmac crusher by dressing, magnetic-separation and screeing, the crystallized ingot becomes grains of high density and hardness, good self-sharpening and excellent alumina grinding properties.

2. Applications:

Brown aluminium oxide is an ideal aggregate for many high alumina refractory products, it is widely used as a raw material in refractories, ceramics shapes, grinding wheels, sandpaper, blasting media, metal preparation, laminates, coatings, lapping, polishing, grinding and hundreds of other applications.

Generally, we use 7 washing and 5 sieves for sieving the material.


4. Packing:

25kg in to poly woven bag, PE lined.
50kg into poly woven bag, PE lined.
500kg or 1000kg into big bag. (with pallets If required)
