Thermo fusible web, net, film, powder etc., as it's simple composition, there is no bad smell after fusing.
Traditional glue has terrible smell when we glue and after glue for long time. So once the thermo fusible web/net/film/powder could be adapt, it will replace the glue fusing in future.
