
UNS N07080 is a nickel-chromium alloy with high strength and excellent corrosion resistance. It is composed of iron, nickel, chromium and silicon and has a wide range of uses in highly corrosive industrial environments. The UNS N07080 is particularly suitable for gas turbine applications due to its temperature resistance of up to 800°C (1470°F). Areas where UNS N07080 can be used include chemical plant components, engine exhaust and Marine exhaust systems. The material has good creep resistance, making it particularly suitable for applications involving thermal cycling or continuous exposure to high temperatures.
Mechanical property
This metal alloy has an excellent combination of mechanical properties such as tensile strength (1400 MPa), yield strength (1200 MPa) and elongation (percent of 50 mm). The combination of these properties gives the NIMONIC Alloy 80A excellent formability. It can be used for deep drawing or bending operations without compromising its structural integrity or durability, even when exposed to high temperatures or corrosive substances. In addition, this metal alloy has a good heat treatment response, so it can be hardened or tempered to increase strength if required for a specific application.
