Levamisole hydrochloride, alias,3,5,6 (S) - (-) - 2-4-6 - phenyl imidazole and hydrogen (2, 1 - b] thiazole hydrochloride; Levamisole hydrochloride; (S)-(-) -6-phenyl-2,3,5, 6-tetrahydroimidazole and [2,1-b] thiazole hydrochloride. White or light yellow crystalline powder, odorless, bitter with astringent taste. Soluble in water, methanol, slightly soluble in ethanol, very slightly soluble in chloroform, insoluble in acetone. Melting point 227-229ºC, bitter taste.
