Product Description

This monitor is based on the national standard GBl1892-89"Water Quality-Determination of Permanganate Index." Po-tassium permanganate and sulfuric acid are added to thesample and heated to 98°C, where potassium permanganateoxidizes certain organic matter and inorganic reducing sub-stances.Excess sodium oxalate is then added to consume theunreacted potassium permanganate. The excess sodium oxa-late is back-titrated with potassium permanganate, and the end-point volume of the titration is recorded. The permanganateindex value ofthe sample is calculated based on this volume.
