The type R radial piston pump is composed of valve-controlled pump elements that are arranged in a star shape around an eccentric. For large volume flows, up to 42 pump elements can be arranged one above the other in 6 stars. The delivery volume of the pump elements is combined into one or more pressure outlets.
The radial piston pump types R and RG have a closed pump housing. This means that it can be used as a motor pump outside of an oil container or installed in the container of a hydraulic unit (see D 6010 H). The radial piston pump type RG has plain bearings that enable a longer bearing life.
