MY001-B USB2.0 optical probe is used for local serial communication using infrared communication between static smart electricity/water/flow/gas meters (meters or other equipment) with optical interface on one side and a PC or HHU (Hand-Held Units) with USB2.0 interface on the other side. on the other. The optical probe parameters fulfill all technical requirements on data transmission in accordance with the standard IEC62056-21 (old IEC1107) and the set of users'requirements DLMS/COSEM. The optical probe has a infrared transmit and a infrared receive diode. The optical probe is fitted with a permanent magnet, which ensures that the probe remains attached on the meter during data collection. Data is transferred via an infrared light using serial two-way communication.
