Alloy 276
Introduction
Alloy 276 nickel alloy is one of the premier corrosion resistant materials that performs exceptionally well in both oxidizing and reducing environments. It resists chloride stress corrosion cracking, pitting, crevice and general corrosion. The alloy is also resistant to carbide precipitation during welding enabling it to be utilized in the as-welded condition.
Equivalent to: TAFA77T , Sulzer Metco 8276.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Surface should be clean, white metal, with no oxides (rust), dirt, grease, or oil on the surface to be coated. Note: It is best not to handle surfaces after cleaning. Recommended method of preparation is, to grit blast with 24 mesh aluminum oxide, rough grind, or rough machine in a lathe.
