Product Description
XQ series hydraulic power tongs, with advanced steering control structure and tubing clamping technology, and equipped with hydraulic backups, are ideal equipment for make-up/break-out various sizes of sucker rods, tubing, small casing and small drill pipe during oilfield workover operations.
Model XQ29 series workover power tongs are extra-light hydraulic power tongs used specially to making up and breaking out sucker rod in well service. They are adopted the advanced steering control mechanism and sucker rod clamping technology, which have the characteristics of
simple structure, reliable performance, long service life, smooth running and low noise. They are mainly used to make up and break out the sizes of CYG16 ( 5 /8″),19( 3 /4″),22( 7 /8″),25(1″), 29(11/8″)mm
1. The complete set of the power tongs has two combining forms: one is composed of master tong and hydraulic backup tong. When operating the manual reversing and overflow valve of the main tongs, the backup tongs will work together with master tong. Another is composed of master tong and simple backup tong, which is the characteristic of strong adaptability, convenient operation and maintenance.
2. The tong heads of master tong and backup tong are adopted the same clamping mechanism and specialized clamping block (open lap), to clamp the sucker rod. It can clamp tightly and reliably without changing any parts when making up and break out four specified sucker rod joints of 5/8"-1". (Standard configuration) Only need to change the clamping block of master and backup tong when make up and break out 1 1/8" sucker rod joints. (optional)

3.The steering control mechanism of master tong head is set up on the top of tong head, so it is convenient to adjust and repair.
4. The main tongs has automatic on-off safe door.
5.The safety control system is set in the manual reversing valve, which can control the system pressure effectively, with the aim of protection when overloaded.(optional)
- Operate the manual reversing valve on the main tong, and the main tong and backup tong work synchronously.
- Special bidirectional sequence control device for tubing tong shall be equipped as required to realize that the backup tong clamps the tubing before the main tong, so as to make the loading and unloading of tubing safer and more reliable.
- The inner curved roller climbing two-way clamping mechanism is used to clamp the oil pipe, which has simple structure and reliable operation.
- The main tong is equipped with an automatic opening and closing safety door for safety protection.
- Equipped with torque control system.
