Split core current transformers are usually installed on current intensive power lines or equipment, and output the measured current signals to users for monitor measurement or protection.

YHDC brand of SCT type split core current transformers have been specifically designed to be small CT and easy to open and yet maintain the accuracy required for kwh meters. The benefit of a split core current transformers is that it can be placed into position easily and without disturbing or disconnecting the main cables it is monitoring.
