A-silicone Impression Material(Putty & Light Body)is silicone-based impression materials for use in dentistry.
Indication

Choose the rigid stock or individual tray for your patient. To get better adhesion to metal or plastic trays, a tray adhesive is allowed.

1.Details about silicone rubber operation (illustrated)
1, choose the right tray for the patient, the tray requires 3-4mm away from the patient's teeth;
2, clean and dry hands, do not wear latex gloves during operation;
3. Take the initial impression
1) Substrate and catalyst, it is recommended to take a full scoop of each maxillary, it is recommended to take a flat scoop of each mandibular, to ensure that the substrate and catalyst 1:1
2 Mix with fingertips until the color is uniform and there are no streaks. Knead the mixed initial impression into strips and place in the tray. Then place in the entrance
Note: The solidification time of additive silicone rubber is greatly affected by temperature, and the high temperature is fast.
4. Trim the initial impression
Use a special repair knife to remove the first impression of the shoulder, gingival papillae, dental space of the concave, repair the drainage channel, to facilitate the placement of the second impression, reduce bubbles.
5. Take the secondary impression
The light body just played may affect the solidification due to uneven mixing. It is recommended to discard the front material 1-50px, called the line treatment, put the tray filled with the light body material in the entrance, slowly and once in place, about 3 minutes and 30 seconds after the material is cured, remove it from the mouth
6)complete and check the impression
1) The impression made is clear and complete at the subgingival edge of the spare tooth, without bubbles, and the shoulder is clear and continuous;
2) After the impression is removed from the mouth, place it for 30 minutes (it can still be used within 30 days), there is no need to rush to fill the mold, and it can be soaked and sterilized directly to the processing plant.
