Polymercaptan GL-1301, also known as 2-(2-sulfanylethylsulfanyl)ethanethiol, is a low viscosity, clear and transparent liquid compound contains two-SH functional groups. As an important organic chemistry intermediate, it is often used in synthesis of high refractive index optical monomers.
Applications
Polymercaptan GL-1301 can be used as a curing agent for epoxy resin adhesive and coating industry. One of the main applications of this mercaptan is to synthesis high refractive index optical material as it improves transparency and refractive index of resin significantly. These typical properties make multifunctional group mercaptan GL-1301 especially fit for applications such as high refractive index optical resin material monomer, sealant materials and rubber elastomer for LCD backlight materials.

Storage
Polymercaptan GL-1301 should be stored in a dry place, in its sealed original container at temperatures between 10ºC-30ºC. Under these storage conditions the shelf life is 24 months from date of manufacture. The product should not be exposed to direct sunlight.
