Product Description
Ethylene glycol ethyl ether acetate, chemical formula C6H12O3, is an organic compound, colorless liquid, slightly soluble in water, soluble in ethanol, ether, can be miscible in aromatics and other organic solvents, mainly used as cellulose nitrate, grease, resin solvent, can also be used as paint remover.
Use
1. Solvent : Ethylene glycol ether acetate is commonly used as a solvent for cellulose nitrate, resin, grease, and paint remover. Adding the substance to the paint can greatly reduce the film forming temperature of the paint, and has a good compatibility and pigment dispersion . In addition, it can also be used as a thinner for adhesives and as a solvent for water-soluble coatings .
2. Coating industry : In the coating industry, ethylene glycol acetate is often used as a solvent for metal and furniture spray paint, as well as a solvent for protective coatings, dyes, leather and inks.
