Dexamethasone Sodium Phosphate 2.64 mg.
Solvents ad. 1 ml.
Description:
Dexamethasone is a synthetic glucocorticosteroid with a strong anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic and immune-suppressive action.
Indications:
Myoglobinuria, allergic reation, urticaria, toxinaemia, shock, stress and hepatitis.
Local treatmen of arthritis, bursitis, distortions, tendinitis, tendovaginitis and peri-arthritis.
Contra indications:
Diabetes mellitus, osteoporosis, heart and kidney dysfunction, Do not inject during the last(third)part of gestation.
Side effects:
A temporary drop in milk production in lactating animals.
Polyuria and polydypsia.
Reduced resistance against all pathogens.
Delayed wound healing.
Dosage and Administration:
For intramuscular, intravenous or intra-articular administration:
Horses, cattle : 5 - 15 ml (I.M. or I.V.)
Foals, calves, goats, pigs : 1.0 - 3 ml(I.M. or I.V.)
Piglets, dogs, cats : 0.25-1ml(I.M. or I.V)
Local therapy : 1-5ml(intra-articutar)
Withdrawal times:
Meat : 3 days. Milk : 24 hours
