Bleeder Valve /Tubing Drain
The Bleeder Valve allows for the tubing string to be drained prior to tripping,
avoiding problems associated with pulling a "wet string".
The Tubing Drain is activated by putting sucker rod to shear the shear pins
and open the large drainage ports to the annular space above the pump.
The tubing drain is normally installed one joint above the check valve. The Bleeder Valve or Drain Valve has a small drain plug in it, and dropped a bar inside the tubing string will break it and allow the tubing to drain well fluid to the tubing and casting anulus.
