Mill liner is a protective material used inside ball mills, usually made of highly wear-resistant materials in the form of plate components, used to cover the inner walls of ball mills to extend their lifespan.
The function of the ball mill liner is to protect the cylindrical shell and the material inside it from being impacted and worn by the grinding media (such as steel balls) and the raw material being ground.
The mill liner also helps to enhance the grinding performance of the ball mill by increasing the surface area of the grinding media and improving the lifting effect of the balls, which helps to promote the grinding process.
Lining plates differ in size, material and method of attachment to the mill casing and the shape of surface to adapt the different grinding equipment and grinding media.
Lining plates' durability and the lift height of steel grinding balls depend on the geometric shape of the lining plate surface. According to the type of material, Lining plates can be smooth, stepped wavy, combined, corrugated, cellular, heeled and other.
