Pot magnets are the most efficient design for gripping, holding and fixing. They can be provided in various sizes and magnetic attraction according to customer needs. They usually consist of magnet material enclosed in a metal 'pot'. The active magnet face is not enclosed
The metal pot is to offer protection to magnet materials and to allow a magnet to be constructed with a feature, such as a screw thread, which is not possible using the magnet material alone. The metal pot usually has to be coating or housing to anti rust.
