Each gram contains 200 mg Oxytetracycline HCL
Indications
Oxytetracycline 20 % powder is indicated for the treatment and control of bacterial infections such as infectious coryza, fowl cholera, infectious synovitis, fowl typhoid, chronic respiratory disease, bacillary white diarrhea, spirochaetosis and to check secondary bacterial infection during viral outbreaks .
Oxytetracycline soluble powder is also can be used to treat infectious diseases caused by pigs and chickens that are sensitive to Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Pasteurella and Mycoplasma.
1. Diarrhea caused by Escherichia coli or Salmonella, yellow scour of piglets, white scour of piglets, white scour of young chickens and calves, and lamb dysentery.
2. Swine asthma, bovine pneumonia, and chronic respiratory disease in chickens caused by mycoplasma.
3. Swine pneumonia, gallbladder disorder, and bovine hemorrhagic sepsis caused by Pasteurella multocida.
4. Fever, pale skin and conjunctiva caused by porcine eperythrocytosis, yellow staining in severe cases, constipation or diarrhea, general fatigue, lethargy, lethargy, and swollen lymph nodes.
Dosage and Administration
Chickens & turkey :
Infectious synovitis caused by Mycoplasma synoviae, susceptible to Oxytetracycline 20% powder1-2 g per 4.5 liter of water for 3-5 days .
Chronic respiratory disease and air sac infections caused by Mycoplasma
gallisepticum , Salmonellosis and fowl cholera caused by Pasteurella multocida :
Oxytetracycline 20 % powder 2-4 g per 4.5 liter of water for 3-5 days .
Calves : 10-20g per 200 kg body weight every 12 hours during 3-5 days .
Pigs : 1-2 g per litre drinking water during 3-5 days .
Precautions
Prepare fresh solution daily. Prepare fresh solution daily, provide only medicated water during the treatment. No other water should be given. In severe cases the dose can be increased .
Withdrawal period
Meat : Calves : 8 days
Pigs : 5 days .
Poultry : 8 days .
Eggs : 4 days
