Lead dibromide, also known as lead bromide, is soluble in boiling water. It is slightly soluble in cold water and easily soluble in potassium bromide solution. It can be used to develop luminescent lead bromide perovskite nanoparticles for light-emitting diodes. It can also be used as CsPbBr3 quantum dots, a photocatalyst for the efficient degradation of antibiotics in organic systems. It can also be used together with aluminum powder as a catalyst for the isoprenylation reaction of quinone compounds and isopentyl bromide.
