Warning
- Connect the output, feedback, power supply, ground wire, and electric furnace according to the wiring diagram. The load phase must be the same as the voltage regulator power supply phase (ie, in phase), otherwise the voltage regulator will be damaged.
- The withstand voltage of the thyristor must be more than 2.5 times the supply voltage (Eg: the voltage withstand voltage of the thyristor must be no lower than AC600V when use voltage at 220V). The thyristor rated current must be more than 1.5 times the current actually used. The thyristor should be equipped with a large enough heat sink, and pay attention to the ventilation and heat dissipation to ensure that the temperature of the thyristor does not exceed 70 °C under any circumstances.
- Fuse FU must be connected to the input terminal of phase line when connected with the anode of thyristor in series and shall not be connected to other positions.
- The heat sink of thyristor should be equipped properly against electric shock and short circuit between thyristor electrodes.
- The ammeter must be in series with the anode of thyristor and do not let the trigger signal pass through the ammeter if the ammeter is connected.
- Trigger signal lines which are used to connect this device with the thyristor should be separate from other wires and keep it as short as possible in case of the thyristor out of control due to eternal interference.
Operation and Adjustment
- Open the "POWER", the meter begins working.
- Adjust the addend key "∧"or subtracted key "∨"on the panel to make the displayed voltage (voltage on the load) meet required value.
- The regulator uses negative voltage feedback, half-wave power is strictly forbidden to be supplied to the load, or the DC power on the load will damage the transformer inside the machine, and the single-sided conduction of the thyristor should not happen in normal use.
- Do not drive inductive loads such as induction furnaces and step-down transformers in case of damaging thyristor.
- In the event that the thyristor cannot be fully turned on or the displayed output value seriously changes. The reason is mistaking connection of trigger signal lines and exchanging the two trigger signal output lines can solve.
