SJ501 is an active flux which features good welding properties, easy slag removal, good bead appearance, and insensitive to rust and mill scale.
Usage:
Single and multiple pass welding, fillet and butt welds with unlimited plate thickness.
Weld of various of structural steel, weathering steels pair with suitable alloy welding wires.Widely used in pipe, heavy industrial, pressure vessel, bridge, ship building applications.
Cautions:
Re-dry flux at 300-350ºC(572-662°F) for 60 minus before welding.
Low voltage and welding speed are required in multi-layer groove welding .
Add new flux regularly to achieve excellent welding characteristics.
